The Challenge

For the brand launch, Vaylens needed to find a way to showcase its new brand whilst giving an overview of the business and its offering. The objective was to introduce the brand to a new audience and convey its unique value proposition.

The Solution

Using a selection of brand assets provided by the client, we set about expanding their visual identity and developing a video style that utilised live-action footage, clean graphics and kinetic type. These elements were weaved together through graphic layouts and playful animation. The Vaylens brand is professional and effortless whilst remaining people-focused so finding the balance between tech and humanity was paramount.

The narrative had to introduce the brand, explain what Vaylens does, and why it was of value to their potential clients - so the script had to be carefully crafted to achieve all these things in one concise video.

Vaylens is a charging management software platform that enables businesses to manage and monetise EV charging stations, launched to a new audience through a dedicated brand launch campaign. Brighton-based motion and animation studio Buff Motion — a certified B Corporation — was commissioned to produce the brand launch video, handling both design and animation in-house, with sound design by James Locke-Hart. The studio was provided with existing brand assets by Vaylens and used these as a foundation to expand the client's visual identity, developing a bespoke video style that combined live-action footage, kinetic type, and clean graphics. These elements were unified through considered graphic layouts and purposeful animation, balancing the brand's professional, tech-oriented character with a people-focused sensibility. A carefully crafted script was integral to the deliverable, structured to introduce the brand, explain the product offering, and articulate its value proposition within a single concise video. The Impact
